Meet our team.

Shakira Free Miles

BSc RVN

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

“Shakira's knowledge has proven to be a vital resource to our charity for questions between vet visits. Her knowledge of wound care is so vast that she was able to suggest a much more effective dressing and strategy to help heal a dog with huge surgery complications, she is very professional and our vets really appreciated her tips too. We are also very grateful to have her on board to support our rescued dogs with cooperative care advice whenever they are uncomfortable with handling, she has a real talent for helping dogs to feel safer in the veterinary environment”.

Dr Fabian Rivers

MRCVS GPCert(ExAP)

I graduated in 2018 from the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Brno and earned a GPCert in Exotic Animal Practice in 2022.
I've worked as Head Vet specialising in exotics and wildlife, with some small animal work, and continued work as a locum across the West Midlands and London. I’ve also contributed to a variety of TV projects, am an RSPCA ambassador, and trustee for a trap-neuter-release charity in Greece.
I was honoured as Young Vet of the Year in 2020.

My interests include exotic animal medicine (reptiles and avian), dentistry, and analgesia. Outside of work, I care for four pets and enjoy running, weightlifting, DJing, photography, and reading philosophy and psychology.

What i love about being a vet is making sure animals are advocated for and elevating them from suffering, however that comes. I truly believe that not just loving animals but being compassionate to their needs as well as doing my utmost to cater to a carers goals is the key to my job. I want to provide options and provide clarity with that so we are all better informed. This is an area I feel I can bring to ARCC.
